{One evening in Paris} Restaurant and theatre

Restaurant and Theatre

Going to the theater in Paris is one of my favourite activities. And how lucky, Paris hosts more than 17,000 plays a year in private theaters on top of National theaters programming.

Among them, one is held a 100% in English by a very talented humorist Olivier Giraud. 100% recommended!

How to become Parisian in one hour ?

The hilarious French lesson by Olivier Giraud.

Either you ever experimented the rudeness of a Parisian waiter taking your order or being passed by a Parisian in a hurry at the taxi station. This show is a must. You will learn how to order a drink in a Parisian café and not look dumb, how to shop in a Parisian shop and not look dumb or even how to dance in a Parisian nightclub and not look dumb… And most of all you will learn how to love Paris with a fresh new arrogant eye.

Now playing until July 4th 2012: Theatre de la Main d’or

Theatre de la Main d’or15, passage de la Main-d’or, 75011 Paris

Where to eat before or after the show ?

Menekse – Kurdish restaurant
Where? Menekse, 7 Passage Main d’or, 75011 Paris

Theatre des Nouveautes24, boulevard Poissonnière, 75009 Paris

Reservation: 01 47 70 52 76

Where to eat before or after the show ? My pick:

Les fils à maman

This typical Parisian bistro brings you back in childhood. You’ll be surrounded with multitude goodies, posts, toys and scholarship stuff from the 80’s. Staff is fun and friendly and chefs are revisiting some of our childhood favorites such as Babybel croquettes, cordon bleu, sablés petits LU with Nutella… A surprise at the end of your meal!

A nice place to discover with one downside, it remains relatively high price for quality.

Better to book in advance.

Where? Les fils à maman, 7 Bis Rue Geoffroy-Marie, 75009 Paris

Reservation: 01 48 24 59 39

Big Fernand – a new restaurant already well-known for its sur-mesure burgers

At Big Fernand, you can pick one of the four recipes : Big Fernand (beef), Philibert (chicken), Victor (veal) ou Alphonse (lamb) or make your own burger exactly the way you want it. You can choose your meat (7-9€), cheese (2€), sauce (0,5€) and herbs.

A nice pick before or after the show.

Where? Big Fernand, 55 Rue du Faubourg Poissonnière, 75009 Paris
