Located in the middle of mini-empire led by French master chef Christian Constant on the left side of Saint-Dominique street, Paris 7th, Les Cocottes is a nice and relax restaurant. High tables, counter seats, simple dishes cooked in a casserole pan (‘les cocottes’) make it a friendly place for having a fresh and good meal anytime. And this is exactly why you go in such a place: to find only fresh food, seasonal fruits and vegetables.
Today’s starter is the avocado mousse, tomatoes and crab meat and dish is veal with chanterelle mushrooms sauce. But choice is tough between Caesar salad Ritz-style and the traditional casserole dishes that are potatoes stuffed with pig’s trotters and cod loin with fresh tomatoes and caper sauce.
Tempted by dessert? Chocolate aficionado will certainly melt for the fabulous chocolate tart by Christian Constant if not for the crumble of the day, waffles or fromage basque with black cherry jam.
Even through the place is busy, smiling waiters offer a great and enjoyable service.
Good news! The restaurant is open 7/7 for lunch and dinner. No booking, so make sure to come early or be ready to wait for a free table.
The restaurant Les Cocottes is open every day from noon till 3:00pm and 7:00-10:30pm
