Amazing lunch @ Il Vino Restaurant, Paris

IL VINO RESTAURANT-5

For the second time, I went to Il Vino restaurant in Paris 7th. Two is better than one (for the good stuff). First time was for dinner and second was for lunch with my friend Céline (Les pépites de Noisette). Photo credit is all her.

This restaurant has everything. Wine list is exceptional. Enrico Bernardo is Best Sommelier of The World in 2004 (at only 27). Food is crazy delicious. Restaurant Il Vino is 1-star at Michelin. Staff is remarkably qualified and nice!

The concept of the restaurant is genuinely original. It’s all about food and wine combination. Continue reading

Autour d’un verre

Autour d'un verre

The Parisian bistro owned by Kevin, cousin of Williamson et Johnston (Willi’s Wine Bar), offers natural and organic wines and serves great fresh food. It is a great pick to eat before or after an evening at one of the numerous theaters of Grands Boulevards. Or to spend some good time with friends in a relaxed and friendly place.

The small restaurant is well-known in the neighborhood and gets quickly busy at lunch time. Our advice is to come early!

What to eat? The menu (lunch 15€ / dinner 22€) is good value. We especially loved the fish tartar with a glass of chardonnay.

Le Casse Noix Restaurant, Paris 15th

In Paris Revealed, Stephen Clark describes the 14th and 15th as a place with no interesting fishes to observe talking about Parisian species. Well, it might not be the best location for ‘people watching’ as Mr Clark says. However, if Parisian middle-class families aren’t the most colorful, they are pretty sophisticated in terms of food. Sauvés!  So it makes the place a really great spot to explore. Especially if you like bistros reef.

Situated north 15th, Le Casse Noix is a great deal. The inside feels like an authentic bistro and hids an impressive collection of nutcrackers (‘casse-noix‘). Hum… Interesting!
